• 1 injured in apartment fire off of North Tryon Street

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - One person was hurt in an apartment fire in northeast Charlotte.

    Investigators said a man left the kitchen while something was on the stove.

    The fire spread inside the unit on Dare Drive off of North Tryon Street on Saturday night.

    The apartment next door was damaged as well as the roof of the building.

    One man was burned, but should be OK.
