ROCK HILL, S.C. — Four people were sent to the hospital, including two children, after a crash Wednesday morning involving three vehicles in Rock Hill.
The accident shut down Herlong Avenue near Ebenezer Road for more than an hour.
It appears the driver of a Jeep tried to turn left off of Herlong Avenue and turned into oncoming traffic, colliding with two other cars, police said.
The Jeep rolled over, landing upside down on the sidewalk. A Toyota minivan was hit almost head-on and a third vehicle was struck on the side with two children inside.
Kimberly Brace was right in front of the crash, saw it in her mirror, then went to help the children.
“I seen all the smoke and I heard all the noise, so I immediately stopped my car and I went to the car that was behind me, and I heard all the kids screaming, so I tried to get them calmed down. Get some napkins,” Brace said.
One person was taken to Piedmont Medical Center and the three others were taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
So far, no one has been charged in the crash.
