CLAREMONT, N.C. — Two people were found shot to death Wednesday night at a home in Claremont, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office told Channel 9.
Deputies responded to a home on Dover Street just before 10:30 p.m. after a report of a shooting involving two individuals.
The sheriff’s office says the deputies found a man and a woman dead after being shot.
Evidence at the scene indicates the shooting was an isolated domestic incident, authorities said Thursday. The sheriff’s office hasn’t said who the suspected shooter was.
The victims haven’t been identified yet.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
