CHARLOTTE — Firefighters in Burke County fought a large fire that damaged two homes just south of Icard on Tuesday.
Crews responded to the fire before 2 p.m. Channel 9′s Dave Faherty was on the scene and could see large flames. He learned that wind and dry conditions have caused the fire to spread into several trees along Hildebran Mountain Road.
It is unclear how the fire started and if anyone is hurt.
