CHARLOTTE — Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department made 24 arrests in a “teen takeover” at Romare Bearden Park Saturday night.
Police say more than 200 teens were gathered in the Uptown park before they broke it up.
According to a release, 23 of the arrests were minors. Police say 13 parents were also cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A gun was also seized.
