3 arrested in connection to selling meth, police say

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Alexander County Sheriffs arrested and charged three individuals in connection to .meth sales.

Officers said 41-year-old Tonya Ferguson is accused of trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession with intent to sell and deliver a scheduled II controlled substance.

Police said Joel Stephen Carter, 49, of Hiddenite, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Jennifer Denise Vanhorn, 36, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ferguson's bond was set at $85,000.

Carter and Vanhorn's bond was set at $8,000.
