CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As American Airlines on Wednesday reopened a renovated lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport for members of its Admirals Club, the world’s largest carrier touted growth in the year ahead for its second-largest hub.
The revamped Admirals Club at Concourse B — one of two that American Airlines has at CLT — is open again after closing for updates last July as part of a larger initiative launched by the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier three years ago.

The upgraded lounge, located between gates three and five, offers members enhanced beverage offerings and a modern, complimentary food bar as well as five semi-private workstations.
American Airlines Group Inc. also said Wednesday morning that beginning June 2, it will grow its daily, nonstop flight offerings at CLT.
