SALISBURY, N.C. — The grocer ALDI plans to hire up to 100 warehouse associate positions at its stores in the Charlotte area.
The company said warehouse associates build pallets to be sent to ALDI stores. It said the job is physical in nature and involves lifting throughout the day.
Employees will be paid a starting wage of $17.90 per hour, with an average of 30-35 hours per week. ALDI offers benefits to all associates who work more than 25 hours a week, including medical, dental and vision insurance, prescription coverage and paid vacation.
"As we continue to grow and meet increased demand for fresh, premium groceries at everyday low prices, it's a priority for us to find the best possible employees - employees who are passionate about ALDI, just like our customers," said Chris Daniels, division vice president for ALDI. "We know our employees are our greatest asset and it's important that our associates are generously compensated for their commitment to ALDI and the critical role they play in driving our significant growth."
The hiring event will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 24 at the Salisbury division headquarters on Old Union Church Road.
