Alexander County company buys $3.2 million building in Statesville

STATESVILLE, N.C. — An Alexander County-based company bought a vacant building in Statesville for $3.2 million, our partners at the Record and Landmark reported.

Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams bought Commscope and plan to use it as a warehouse.

The company will initially bring 25 jobs to the area.

The mayor of Statesville said it is a positive sign heading into the New Year.
