CHARLOTTE — An attorney is asking the North Carolina Attorney General to ban a Charlotte woman from ever doing business in the state again.

According to reports from the Charlotte Observer, dozens of people claim Michele Szabo and her company, American Log Homes and Cabins, sold them kits to build log cabins, but they never actually received them.

The company, then, went out of business abruptly.

Customers told the Observer they were told they would not get a refund. Lawyers claim Szabo intentionally deceived them.

The Attorney General’s Office said it has launched an investigation into the company.
