CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A luxury car-rental service is expanding to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Silvercar, an Austin, Texas-based startup acquired by Audi in 2017, will bring its lineup of silver, 2017 and 2018 Audi A4 sedans and Q5 SUVs to the Charlotte airport, beginning Sept. 17.
Silvercar touts itself as a “next-generation premium mobility company” that “removes the headache of traditional car rental” by eliminating paperwork and lines at the counter through its online and mobile app-based booking.
The service offers customers vehicle features such as onboard Wi-Fi, GPS navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. Rental prices in Charlotte will start at $59 per day for the A4 model and $79 per day for the Q5.
