Baby Jesus stolen from Lowell church Nativity scene

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A baby Jesus was stolen from a Gaston County church Nativity scene.

The theft happened at First Baptist Church of Lowell.

The church’s youth group said they spent hours painting the baby Jesus, and that the manger was stolen as well.

The church said it plans on replacing the stolen items.
