CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A north Charlotte child celebrated a special birthday on Sunday.
Jude Sullivan Peters turned 2 years old.
Doctors told the Peters family when Jude was born that he wouldn't live past two weeks.
Jude suffers from a rare and lethal form of dwarfism called rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata (RCDP).
Jude's joints are contracted.
He also has congenital cataracts and chronic pain.
His family has nicknamed him the "brave little warrior," and this fall he is beginning clinical trials aimed at prolonging his life.
