Behind the scenes at Studio Movie Grill in north Charlotte, plans for uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Studio Movie Grill has doubled down on the Charlotte market with a second theater.

The 52,000-plus square-foot location delivers an elevated movie-going experience in its quest to capture a share of people’s entertainment spending, says Jenelle Zadik, area director.

“It’s really designed to be an experience,” she says.

It is located at 5336 Docia Crossing Road in Prosperity Village, near Interstate 485 and Prosperity Church Road. The full-service theater melds first-run movies with full-service, in-theater dining. The 10-screen theater features 1,022 electric recliners and surround-sound laser projectors.
