BELMONT, N.C. — Students who were forced to leave Belmont Abbey College last spring because of COVID-19 are returning to some major changes, including apps to track health, restrictions on dorm room visits and far fewer classmates in a room.
We are on campus @BelmontAbbey looking at the charges in class as students arrive on campus for the first time since Covid forced them to leave. That includes an app that lets administrators track the threat from #Covid on campus and tents for distance learning outside. pic.twitter.com/gtDU7qi0GK

“I’d much rather have to embrace those changes than just don’t be on campus at all,” said student Rebecca Marcucci.

In the video at the top of this webpage, college officials gave Gaston County reporter Ken Lemon a tour of the campus and a look at some of the changes that students will see before they even get out of their cars.
