CHARLOTTE — Supperland in Charlotte continues to rack up national accolades for its Southern steakhouse-meets-church potluck vibes.
The Plaza Midwood restaurant has landed on Bon Appétit’s “10 Best New Restaurants” list. That recognition comes just a week after the establishment was included in the publication’s “50 Best New Restaurants” nationwide.
“To have this kind of recognition almost doesn’t feel real,” says Jeff Tonidandel. “We know we’ve built something really special here at Supperland.”
He and wife and business partner Jamie Brown are behind the Tonidandel-Brown Restaurant Group. They transformed a former church in Plaza Midwood into Supperland, which opened in March 2021.
The restaurant encompasses two buildings and features a speakeasy, wine room and patio and garden area.
