Car crash floods Huntersville road after hitting fire hydrant

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A car crashed into a fire hydrant Wednesday morning, flooding a Huntersville road Wednesday morning.

Huntersville Fire said it responded to the crash just before 10 a.m. on Reese Boulevard.

Officials say no one was hurt, but drivers are being asked to avoid the area as Charlotte Water works to repair the hydrant and clean up the spill.

Channel 9 is asking when the road will reopen.
