Car crashes in northeast Charlotte pond, no driver found

CHARLOTTE — An SUV was partially submerged in an icy pond in northeast Charlotte Monday morning.

Charlotte Fire got the call to Rocky River Road around 8 a.m.

MEDIC confirmed no one was in the car. Video from the scene shows the window was broken out of the vehicle.

Crews searched the surrounding area for a driver, but couldn’t find anyone.
