Sunny skies and sandy beaches may be in David Tepper’s immediate future.

On Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported that the owner of the Carolina Panthers is in contract to buy a roughly $73 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, citing sources familiar with the deal.

According to the newspaper, the sellers of the nearly 12,000-square-foot Bermuda-style house are longtime Palm Beach residents. The property, which wasn’t publicly listed for sale, sits directly on the ocean and on the edge of the Palm Beach Country Club.

The article also said records show that Tepper still owns a condominium in Miami Beach, Florida, that he bought for $10.7 million in 2017.

The WSJ notes that real estate moves made by the billionaire hedge-fund manager are watched closely because he and his business pay so much in state taxes.

Last year, the Charlotte Business Journal reported that Tepper bought a home in south Charlotte, paying almost $5.4 million for a property in Quail Hollow that previously belonged to former Panthers coach John Fox.
