YORK COUNTY, N.C. — CaroMont Health is planning a new neighborhood hospital in the Lake Wylie area of York County.
The health system has purchased land along Highway 557 for the new facility.
Plans call for emergency and inpatient care, surgery, imaging and laboratory services.
The hospital is expected to serve residents in Lake Wylie, Clover, northern York County and southern Gaston County.
CaroMont expects the hospital to open in 2031.
