CHARLOTTE — Brent Cagle, the interim CEO of CATS, acknowledged Monday the agency violated overtime policy.
Channel 9 reported in April that Cagle told the city council he would put mandatory overtime in place.
That was after a state Department of Transportation inspection found one light rail controller on duty but said at least two are needed.
Cagle said some employees worked more than a consecutive 12-hour shift or a 60-hour work week, our partners at the Charlotte Observer reported.
His announcement comes as CATS started reducing service on the Gold Line Monday.
