Channel 9 goes inside behavioral health urgent care ahead of Charlotte facility opening

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Plans are underway to bring a behavioral health urgent care to Mecklenburg County. The facility will provide emergency care for patients’ physical and mental wellbeing.

Construction on the location in east Charlotte is expected to continue throughout the year.

Mecklenburg County staff, the Steve Smith Foundation, Alliance Health, and Daymark Recovery Services are working together to develop an around-the-clock intervention and treatment center.

“This is a great opportunity for folks to get engaged and to start that change process,” said Daymark executive director Billy West.
