MINT HILL, N.C. — The Charlotte City Council approved Monday night the purchase of three water and sewer systems owned by Aqua North Carolina in the Mint Hill area.
Some residents have complained that their water has been brown for years in the Ashe Plantation neighborhood.

Many have also complained about high water bills from their water company, Aqua North Carolina.
The three systems cost about $2.5 million.
The purchase affects about 400 residents.
