CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte City Council is weighing incentives for a Japanese megabank.
City leaders will vote on whether to provide SMBC with $852,000 over 10 years.
Last month, the company announced it was opening its second US headquarters in Uptown Charlotte.
The bank expects to create 2,000 jobs.
