CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Crown were crowned the inaugural UPSHOT League champions Saturday n ight.
Charlotte overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Jacksonville Waves 81-76.
The championship victory capped a late-season rally for Charlotte. After starting the season 1-6, the Crown won 14 of their final 15 games leading into the title match.
Guard Deja Kelly, 24, led Charlotte with a game-high 29 points and was named Championship MVP.
