CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte FC striker, Karol Swiderski, has been called to Poland to play for the national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Swiderski has 17 caps and eight goals for the Polish team; five of those goals were scored during World Cup qualifying matches.
The striker is coming off a 10-goal, six-assist campaign for Charlotte FC, following his signing as the club’s first Designated Player in January of this year.
Swiderski scored the winning goal for Poland in their last game before the World Cup, beating Wales 1-0.
