Charlotte gun store has $1 million in sales Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte gun store sold more than $1 million in guns Wednesday.

That's the Hyatt Gun Shop's best single day of sales since the store opened in 1959.

Larry Hyatt, the store owner, said people are afraid if they don't buy certain guns now, they won't be able to later.

"I think as long as the government is talking about gun control, I think there's going to be gas on the fire," Hyatt said.

Hyatt added customers Thursday had a 30-minute wait just to get into the store.
