Charlotte Knights cancel July 4th fireworks show due to pandemic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Knights will not be hosting its annual Fourth of July fireworks show, the team announced.

The Knights released a statement Saturday saying it had cancelled the fireworks shows scheduled for July 3rd and 4th due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They plan to resume the shows next year as usual.

The team said if conditions allow, they may host fireworks shows later this year.
