SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — A Charlotte woman was found dead and a Charlotte man was seriously hurt Monday morning after a shooting in Tennessee, Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals told WATE.
Seals said officers and first responders arrived on the scene of a shooting at a rental cabin around 8:30 a.m. in Sevierville on Smoky Ridge Way. Officials told WATE they found 28-year-old Tatina J. Buddington dead inside the cabin and 26-year-old Daekwon K. Dodd seriously hurt outside the cabin on the ground.
Seals said Dodd jumped from the third-story balcony of the cabin. He was taken to UT Medical Center in Knoxville where he was listed in serious condition.
No other details have been released about the investigation.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Sevier County Medical Examiner’s Office are also investigating.
