CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The city of Charlotte is preparing to conduct a full-scale emergency training exercise.
Charlotte Department of Transportation, police, fire and several other agencies are at the intersection of Hawthorne Lane and Elizabeth Avenue.

Officials are holding the training to increase their response time if there were to be an accident involving the CityLYNX Gold Line car.
The intersection was closed until noon.
