HICKORY, N.C. — Jeff Cline will be sworn in as mayor of Hickory on June 6.
Cline was unanimously voted by City Council into office.
The Hickory native is a senior vice president for BB&T Insurance Services and served on the City Council in the 1990s.
Cline will finish out the term of Mayor Rudy Wright who committed suicide at his home last week.

Wright has been mayor of Hickory since 2001.
