CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officers charged 72 people with various offenses at a DWI checkpoint in north Charlotte overnight.
Officers checked drivers on West WT Harris Boulevard near Harris Center Drive.
Most citations were issued for minor violations having to do with license plates or inspections.
Seventeen people had no operator's license. Another 12 were driving with a revoked license.
A total of 10 DWI charges were filed.
