CMPD investigating alleged sex assault on West Charlotte High School campus

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that happened on the campus of West Charlotte High School on Wednesday.

Authorities said the reported assault involved two juveniles. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was taken to a local hospital.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said it is “aware of the alleged incident and it is under investigation by CMPD.”

According to officers, they are working to determine the appropriate charges.
