Homicide investigation underway in east Charlotte, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in east Charlotte Friday morning.

Just before 6 a.m., police responded to a home on Turquoise Drive near Reedy Creek Park after receiving a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.

At the home, police said they found a woman deceased.

Police told Channel 9 that the investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
