CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in west Charlotte late Wednesday.
Officers were called around 11:30 p.m. to a shooting call on Wilkinson Boulevard near Rosemont Street.
When they got there, police found a man who had been shot. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Demontravis Davonte Reid.

Crime scene tape could be seen roping off an area near an arcade business, and there was a large crowd of people gathered.
No arrests have been made and police have not released a suspect description or said what may have led to the shooting.
