CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Community members in plaza Midwood hope to learn more Thursday about the investigation into the murder of a young woman.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers, as well as Mayor Jennifer Roberts will speak about the case. They're hoping to ease fears for neighbors still reeling from the death of Ketie Jones.

Investigators said someone shot her as she walked home from a club almost two weeks ago.
Police are looking for her killer and believe the shooting was random. CMPD has increased patrols in Plaza Midwood as they continue to search for leads.
Thursday’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. so residents can hear from CMPD's homicide division and voice their concerns.
Channel 9 will have a crew at the meeting, which will take place at The Vine Church in Plaza Midwood.
