• CMPD: Man wanted for rape cut off electronic monitoring device

    CHARLOTTE - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding an individual.

    CMPD says Eddie Stokley is wanted on outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device and rape.

    On April 8 Stokley was court ordered to wear a CMPD electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pretrial release.

    Officers said on Saturday Stokley cut off his monitor. His last known location was 1400 Bethel Road.

    Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
