BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — At one time, the Burke-Catawba Detention Facility housed nearly 175 inmates.
The county said the state has already allocated $3.25 million for the renovations and they anticipate receiving an additional $13 million for opioid treatment.
That money would come from the settlement with opioid distributors and manufacturers.
