Crews battle flames, smoke pouring from Belmont home

BELMONT, N.C. — Firefighters from five separate departments were busy trying to put out a fire that tore through a Belmont home Monday morning.

Firefighters responded to 925 Edgewater Drive around 10:45 a.m. and found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.

Officials said nobody was hurt in the fire but they did not know yet how it started.
