CHARLOTTE — Crisis Assistance Ministry and Bank of America are partnering to help Union and Anson County families save more money.
Bank of America advisers visit Crisis Assistance Ministry once a month to provide financial literacy education through a new program called “Better Money Habits.”
“The goal for them is to just feel relieved, lift their troubles and feel confident in financial decisions,” said Heather Gardner, executive director of Crisis Assistance Ministry.
There are 12 men in the program now with plans to expand.
Crisis Assistance Ministry also helps families cover utility bills and avoid eviction.
