Queen City restaurants earn Michelin Guide honors

CHARLOTTE — The Michelin Guide American South announced its top picks for excellent quality and service Wednesday, and 17 Charlotte restaurants made the list.

This year, four new Queen City restaurants earned honors: Albertine, L’Ostrica, Spaghett and The Story of Mi Cariño.

Counter- was the only local restaurant recognized as One Star.

Two restaurants, the east Charlotte staple Lang Van and South End cantina and mezcalería The Story of Mi Cariño, were recognized as Bib Gourmand. The designation means guests will find more simple, yet quality, options.

Several other restaurants in the metro area earned Michelin recommendations. This means you can expect an above-average meal with high-quality ingredients.

Pump Social, a sandwich shop in a renovated Concord gas station, was also honored.
