An investigation underway after someone dumped a dead deer in a Davidson College apartment then splattered what appeared to be blood inside a nearby dorm.
Students reported those bizarre findings to administrators Monday.
A student discovered the dead deer at a third-floor apartment in Martin Court, and then across campus another student found what appeared to be blood inside the elevator of Belk Residence Hall.
Channel 9 found Davidson students have been talking about the two incidents on social media sites such as Yick Yak since Monday.
Some believe it’s a prank, but very few people that Channel 9 spoke with found the humor in it.

DAVIDSON, N.C. — “That’s a little bit creepy,” said Julie Burkley.
"I'm surprised if someone is responsible they’d take a deer’s life for a prank. It seems very childish to me,” said Javier Robles.
Leaders sent an email to students in Belk Hall warning the action was disrespectful to housekeeping and they want to know who is responsible.
Campus police are still investigating the incidents.
