Charges will be filed against a 14-year-old student who deputies said wore a clown mask and brought two butcher knives to West Rowan Middle School.
The eighth-grader will face possession of a weapon on school campus, going armed in terror of the public, assault with a deadly weapon and communication threats.

Deputies said he started waving one of the knives at students in the cafeteria while wearing the mask.
A school resource officer used his baton to strike the student’s right forearm with three strikes, which caused the student to drop the knife.
He then placed the student in handcuffs and took him to the office.
No one was hurt.
The case will be heard in juvenile court.
