Deputy accused of firing gun while drinking

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — A Sumter County, S.C. deputy is out of a job after the sheriff's department said she fired her gun while she was drinking.

Crystal Driggers is charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling.

The department said she and several others started shooting at a barrel Thursday night.

One of the bullets went into a home and nearly hit a man inside.
