Developer seeks to replace SouthPark condos with mixed-use complex

Miami-based Related Group filed a rezoning petition on May 10 to replace Trianon Condominiums in SouthPark with a 150,000-square-foot mixed-use development.

CHARLOTTE — Miami-based developer Related Group revealed this week that it plans to build a 150,000-square-foot mixed-use development where Trianon Condominiums currently stands in SouthPark.

Related Group filed a petition with the city of Charlotte to rezone 9.1 acres at Colony, Rexford and Roxborough roads and replace the 50-year-old condo development with 55,000 square feet of office space, 60,000 square feet of retail, 730 multifamily units and 18 to 24 townhomes.

According to project designs, the building heights will range from 185 to 195 feet at Roxborough and Rexford and transition to 90 feet at Colony and Roxborough, with the tallest building projected to be 14 to 16 floors.
