Doctors find $2K in meth hidden inside woman during surgery

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Doctors said they found $2,000 worth of meth inside a woman while operating on her after she was hurt in a three-county chase.

Doctors told Cleveland County deputies while Kimberly Whitworth was in surgery they found 19 grams of meth hidden inside a body cavity.

Deputies said Whitworth and Jason Lowery led them on a chase from Shelby, through Rutherford County and into Polk County after an undercover drug buy.

Whitworth is in critical condition at Spartanburg Medical Center.
