CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Department of Transportation crews closed Old Concord Road from North Tryon all the way down to Orr Road early Sunday morning.
They're working on the LYNX Blue Line Extension project, which will take Blue Line riders from south Charlotte to the UNC-Charlotte campus.
NCDOT said about 14,000 drivers travel one portion of Old Concord Road each day.
The road won't re-open until late July.
