CHARLOTTE — A driver crashed into a utility pole and fled the scene on foot in north Charlotte Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just after 3 p.m. on North Tryon Street.
Video of the scene shows the pole was snapped in two. The street was shut down as a result.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Channel 9 is asking the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department if they’ve tracked down the driver of the car.
