Police said the driver pulled into the path of another vehicle, struck it and then lost control of his car.
Investigators said the car’s brakes and gas are both operated by levers inside the vehicle.
There were two employees in the business at the time of the crash, including one who seconds earlier had been near the wall that the car hit.
Police Johns’ injuries are not serious.
Investigators said Johns, 38, will most likely be charged with a traffic violation for the initial accident on Highway 127.
