Duke Energy, storm services make preparations ahead of Michael's impact to Carolinas

Last month, the Carolinas saw the widespread devastation Florence brought our way with downed trees and power outages.

Officials say there are a lot of possibilities with Hurricane Michael, but local companies said they are preparing for the worst.

Last month, the Carolinas saw devastation from Florence such as downed trees, power outages, and flooding. Now, the Charlotte area is preparing for potential impacts from Hurricane Michael. 

Duke Energy said it is monitoring Michael's track and making preparations to restore power both in Florida and the Carolinas.

Mecklenburg Storm Services is doing an all-day preparation by removing debris from creeks and streams.
